さがしもの【捜し物･探し物】

〔捜すこと〕 searching; looking [searching] for sth; 〔その物〕 a [the] thing one is looking for; the object of one's search; 〔なくした物〕 something lost.

●探し物がある have sth to look for.

●探し物で一日が暮れた. I spent the whole day searching (for it).

●探し物をする look [search] for something.
